Welcome to the new school year! This is a busy time adjusting to new schedules and routines for many – we are praying for you!

We look forward to connecting with you in the weeks and months ahead and providing support and encouragement along the way. Please don’t hesitate to be in touch if your family has specific needs or concerns – we’d love to help.

Starting this Sunday our check-in procedure for families with children age 0 through 5th grade will look a little different. In an effort to tighten both our security measures and attention to allergies/medical concerns, we will be asking that each child in this age range wears a name tag on Sunday mornings. Here are the steps to follow to receive your name tags:

1)       Fill out this form: https://goshenbaptist.churchcenter.com/people/forms/427257

* If your family is involved with Planning Center because they are involved with our worship services, please click this link for separate instructions.  Click the log-in button in the upper right corner and you will be prompted to enter your phone number or e-mail address and receive a code to log in. If you are unsure, fill out the form listed above and planning center will send an e-mail if there is a question.

For those of you who have already filled out this form in our “test run”, please click this link and follow the instructions to double check your information.

2)      If you’ve been able to complete this form, please proceed to a kiosk in the main lobby, FLC lobby, or outside the nursery on Sunday morning. Enter the last 4 digits of your phone number at the kiosk, select the child/ren who are with you, make sure your name is in the bottom left corner and print your labels. You’ll receive one name tag for each child (nursery age children will receive 2 labels – one for the child and one for the diaper bag) as well as a label with a code for the adult to keep to identify your child at pick-up.

3)      If you have not completed the form in this email, please proceed to the kiosk in the hallway outside the nursery to complete your information and print out your labels.

Here are a few FAQ:

What if my child brings a friend to church?

Use the kiosk outside the nursery to add the friend to your own household if the friend does not come with another adult.

What if my child only attends Children’s Church or KTC?

If your child/ren plan to participate in ANY children’s Sunday programming, please first proceed to a kiosk and print name tags.

Who can pick up my child?

Anyone 5th grade and older who has either the corresponding tag with matching identification number or a screen shot of the tag will be permitted to pick up your child/ren. Please note children in 3rd grade and older do not need to be picked up from class – they will dismiss on their own.

When does this check-in system begin?

This Sunday!

I need to update my household information. How do I do that?

Visit the kiosk outside the nursery, search by name or phone number and click the Edit Household button.   You can also use this form link to log in and edit your profile to update information during the year.

Please note the following September schedule for Sundays at Goshen:

9/4 – Last day of summer Sunday school – 9:30; Worship service at 10:30

9/11 – No Sunday school. Worship service at 10:30 and picnic to follow

9/18 – 8:30 worship service, 10:00 Sunday school, 11:00 worship service

9/25 – 8:30 worship service, 10:00 Sunday school, 11:00 worship service

Our Sunday school teachers for this year are AWESOME! We’d love to have your child/ren join us for this Sunday school hour. Information for room locations can be found at the check-in kiosks.

Finally, just a reminder that Awana for kids in K-5th grade begins on September 21. We have a great group forming; however, if your child is not yet signed up, there’s still time to register: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSesxjXOy2KC8EXNigszAlq3y0qLxLDkRctmcg6feRt8FVKHGw/viewform

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!
