MEN & LIFE

Men face enormous pressures.  Providing financially for the family, raising children in a rugged cultural environment, attending to the emotional needs of family members. The Men's Ministry at Goshen desires to stand shoulder to shoulder with men as they seek to fulfill their God-given calling in this world.  We aim first to introduce men to the Perfect Man in Jesus Christ, then to help each other grow in our understanding of who He is and how He wants each of us to impact our world for his glory. Join us as we support each other on the journey!

"Be Skillful (Proverbs): God's Guidebook to Wise Living (The BE Series Commentary)” by Warren W. Wiersbe

Our world yearns for how-to guides and the secret to a fulfilled life. However, no truth is man-made. The wisdom that God granted to King Solomon is the same wisdom that would benefit us today—if only we would seek it.

The book of Proverbs offers principles to develop godly character daily. From the dangers of speaking without listening to the satisfaction inherent in fearing the Lord, author Warren Wiersbe will unpack the Scriptures in ways that will help you apply these spiritual truths.

Join us beginning Thursday, September 14th, at 7:00 p.m. or Saturday, September 17th at 7:30 a.m.

Discipleship Groups

"Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me," Paul says to Timothy, "in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus."  (II Tm. 1:13)  At Goshen we're aiming to engage as many men as possible in a meaningful discipleship relationship with a brother older in faith, emulating the ancient pattern established by Paul and Timothy.  If you're interested in participating in a Discipleship Group, contact Pastor Peter at peter@goshenbaptist.org.

Sports

Winter basketball and spring/summer softball teams are available for some good brotherly competition.  For basketball contact DJ Cronrath at DJ@goshenbaptist.org and for softball contact Paul Yeung at yeungp@msn.com.

Men’s Fellowship

We seek to come along side each other in brotherly support through church wide seasonal gatherings.  No matter if it's a breakfast or an evening BBQ, there's always great food, conversation and a challenge from a brother in Christ.
