Jake Lawton

Jake was born and raised right down the road from Goshen Baptist in Glen Mills, PA. He was blessed to grow up in a Christ-centered family, attending Grace Bible Fellowship Church and youth group all throughout his childhood. By the time he was a senior in high school, Jake knew he wanted to serve in youth ministry in some capacity. He has been involved in several youth groups and ministries since, including at Grace and as a counselor at Big Sky Bible Camp in Montana. Jake attended the University of Delaware, where he majored in chemical engineering and was also active in Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. After college, Jake went on to pursue a Ph. D. in chemical engineering at Penn State, but eventually decided to withdraw. The Lord led him to Goshen, where he got the opportunity to use his passion for youth ministry as a career. Jake loves all the trappings of youth ministry, from the worship and teaching to the silly games and fun trips. In his free time, Jake enjoys reading, exercising, practicing guitar, and playing video games and board games.
