Each day in the month of October, the Goshen Missions Team is encouraging our whole church family to pray for missionaries we support!  These wonderfully dedicated followers of Jesus are on the front lines of kingdom service around the world.  Please make time daily to lift them up before the Lord.  Their prayer requests are listed below--one for each day of October.  Thank you for partnering in gospel ministry in this way.

  1. Sam & Becky Trommler, Mission Doors, Campus Ministry – Pray students will sign up to be involved with our group (The Student Christian Association) through the Student Life website.  Pray for wisdom as we create a website to further disseminate Bible studies.
  2. Russ & Ramona Simons, WorldVenture, Training International Leaders – GO TEAM in the Philippines is beginning another group of youth to prepare them to reach out to Muslims.  Please pray for good bonding to happen among the team members.  Pray for Russ’s physical and mental therapy as he recovers from his stroke. Pray for them as they prepare for retirement and life outside of the Philippines.
  3. Anonymous, Middle East, Muslim Refugees – Pray for a green card to facilitate traveling for training and support raising.
  4. Devi from South Asia, Worldlink – One of the boys who used to attend church regularly was imprisoned.  He has a history of drug addiction.  We prayed earnestly for him and the Lord rescued him. He is out of prison and has started coming regularly to service again.  Please pray for his total deliverance and that he may become fully committed to the Lord.  Dennis from Uganda, Worldlink – Pray for provision during this time, good health and spiritual growth for us me and my family.  Pray God will give me wisdom and help me to have a lot of focus to every detail during this season as we develop materials, run online programs and try out new things.

Alex from India, Worldlink – Has been sharing the gospel in three villages.  Thank God for Rahama and his family who came to faith in the Lord and have become part of the church fellowship.  Pray for God’s intervention in Alex’s father’s health.  He has survived three heart attacks.  Anonymous from Asia, Worldlink – Pray for house churches so that they will continue to meet together faithfully and the local tribe will remain open.  Pray for training of new house church leaders so that their faith will continue to grow and that they will be used mightily by the Lord.  Pray for our ministry during this time so that we can plant another house church.
  6. UrbanPromise, Wilmington, DE, Christian School – Pray for the children and teens attending UrbanPromise virtually this fall.  Pray for their ability to stay focused online, for them to have vision for their life and motivation to learn.  Pray for creativity, excellence, and perseverance for our teachers.  Pray for the staff of our after school program and for the children and their parents throughout the city to maintain relationships while camps are physically closed.  Pray for opportunities for in person activities and games.
  7. Dhurba from Nepal, Worldlink – Thank God for many participants in the Bible engagement training I conducted, and for some who have started engaging with the word of God in their daily devotions.  Thank God also for my daughter, Ava, who passed her nursing license exam (RN) recently.  Pray for wisdom as she starts to practice her profession.

Hellen & Wycliffe from Kenya, Worldlink – Conducted Discipleship Making Training at Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences Mwanza, Tanzania.  Two hundred medical students attended the three-day training.  They have begun reaching out and making disciples on and off campus.  Pray we continue to see fruit.  We trust God for a student movement that will affect the 85 least/unreached tribes in Tanzania.

Bob & Carol Givens, SIM USA, Pastor Care for Global Impact – Pray for our team in Paraguay as they struggle with the restrictions of the Covid 19 challenges.  Pray that each one on the team will build deep relationships with neighbors and guide many to the Lord. Pray for the ongoing work of finishing the Missionary Children’s housing/hospitality center at our SIM Paraguay campus.  Several families have had to come into the Mission center for quarantine. Pray for Pastor Jony and his church members in Cochabamaba, they have lost 34 member and friends to Covid.   Pray they will be able to reflect the Hope we have in Christ as they become stronger through the trials of Covid.  Pray that physical and emotional healing comes.
  10. El Rancho Del Rey, Mexico, Boy’s Home – They received an official protocol for the return of the boys and are evaluating compliance.  Praise the kids will be back on site soon!  Pray that all will go well with the return.  Pray for the boys and their families in the interim period.
  11. Gene & Linda Wilson, ReachGlobal, Church Planting – Please pray for plans to train new national church planting catalysts in 2021.  This will widely expand our impact.  We have a new website. Pray for the selection of the first group of trainees, for a plan that will produce much fruit in terms of new disciples and churches, and the finances needed.  Pray for those we work with that are deeply impacted by Covid.  Pray for participants of our new our small life groups via zoom.
  12. Jacques & Lynn Iosti, Crossworld, Bible translation – I am planning to go to France in the second half of October to meet with many people including the director of the radio station I have been working with for almost 20 years. We will discuss the future of the short user-friendly and readily understandable commentaries I have been writing. I would like prayer for the meeting with the radio station director and for the many contacts I will have including my unsaved relatives.

Chris & Karen Cunningham, CRU, Penn State - With Penn State classes being mostly online, pray that our distribution and mailing of 2,000 fliers (to international student housing locations) advertising our online programs will cause many international students to visit our website and attend our events!  Pray that each of our team's four weekly, online and in-person, Bible study fellowship gatherings will grow and students will invite their friends to attend. Pray for our Chinese students some of whom are feeling more anxious due to the rhetoric from the White House regarding China and other trade/visa policies.
  14. Chester County Women’s Services – Pray for all the Mothers and unborn babies.  Pray we provide them wise counsel and provide a sense of calm during this uncertain time. Dona Sensenig, Spanish Health Ministry, Kennett Square – Pray for the Spanish speaking women experiencing high risk pregnancy.  Pray for the disabled or medically fragile babies and children in Southern Chester County.
  15. Modi from India, Worldlink – Pray for believer’s spiritual development and worshipping centers in new villages. Eugenio from Mozambique, Worldlink – Pray that people will leave their traditions for the sake of Christ; Jesus will open the eyes of people in our community; and the field will be fruitful and we will see our second, third and fourth generations come to Christ.
  16. Church Plant Teams, Asia, Worldlink – Pray for church services being banned due to Covid. Praise that we are seeing a significant expansion of our online training ministry due to Covid.
  17. Anonymous, Middle East, Church planter & training – During this pandemic, pray God will be glorified through our lives and through His work.
  18. Anonymous, Bangladesh – Please pray that the Lord will provide surgeons and other medical personnel to serve long-term at Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh.
  19. Anonymous, Asia, Bible translation – Pray for me to have a quick and attentive mind as I study the language and culture of my target group, so that future language-related work will be as effective as possible. Anonymous, South Pacific, Bible translation – Pray for family and the health of a new baby girl.  Pray for Mommy as she has some heart issues.
  20. Jim Davis, City Gate, Coatesville – Pray that our staff would be strong in the Lord and the power of his might.  Pray that God would continue to grant Jim longevity and clarity.  Praise this his 40th year with City Gate and Chester Country Prison.
  21. Jim & Judy Burrows, CRU, Global – Pray for our global partners in Kuwait, as they are starting new groups to go through the Art of Parenting program.
  22. Mario & Jetty De La Vega, United World Mission, Ecuador - That the Lord would continue to work through them during the difficult health and economic struggles in Ecuador, and that His healing hand would be upon Jetty.
  23. Del & Barbara Gibbons, Crossworld, Canada – Please pray for the Verdun church as it continues to ministry online through these rather intense times.
  24. Rick & Katie James, CRU, West Chester – Please pray that we would understand what the will of the Lord is and that he would use us to bring others to himself.
  25. Jack & June Landis, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Chester Co – Pray for all the children as they learn to adapt to this new environment and the difficulty of learning from home.
  26. JK Williams, Explorer Girls, PA - Please pray for new outreach opportunities that I am pursuing at this time. Pray for wisdom as I converse with various individuals who will be instrumental in helping us to move forward in this venture. Also, pray for the truth of God's Word to be heard and applied to the lives of the girls. Pray for the fulltime staff as we make decisions regarding work in the office. We thank God for moving us ahead and providing for us as we begin our 39th year of ministry.
  27. Lindsey McAleese, Intervarsity, Swarthmore College and Neumann University; Bill Zane, CRU, Philadelphia - Pray for new ways to reach and minster to our students.  Pray the students will continue to grow in their relationship with Christ and share the gospel with others.
  28. Arturo & Nancy Muro, Ripe for Harvest World Outreach, Mexico – Pray to produce a generation of believers fully committed and able to impact the world with the gospel, who will be able to carry on the work and the ministries started over our decades of ministry in Puebla.
  29. Bern & Patty Schraut, Trans World Radio, Europe –With a second COVID-19 wave at the door steps, TWR and its national partners continue to need  prayer for how to reach believers and non-believers during these ongoing times of “physical distancing” and for how best to use radio and digital media to bridge the physical gap.  Anonymous, Asia - That the Lord would use them mightily in reaching the lost through his work and her teaching, and that the Lord would give them discernment about the path forward.
  30. Brown Vincent, WBV Sports Ministry, PA – Pray for his ministry with Union team.  Pray for direction and opportunities to share the gospel with others.

Dhan from South Asia, Worldlink – Please pray for my family, as my wife has been unwell, and that my son’s sight will be restored.   Please pray that many souls will be saved in the coming months and our new church will be full of people.  Pastor Binny from South Asia, Worldlink – Please pray for God’s protection for us, that many will come to know Jesus, and that our children will grow in the fear of God.
