Nursery A clean, well-staffed nursery is available for all services. Infants and toddlers receive special care at GBC. Two care areas are provided: one for infants (0-12 months) and the other for toddlers (12-24 months) who are able to walk, climb and play. The Nursery is a vital part of our ministry. We know that you cannot worship freely unless you have the confidence that your child is receiving excellent care. We have a paging system in place to contact you in the Worship Center or Sunday School if you are needed by your child. Sunday School Weekly time of Bible learning with classes for children beginning at age 2 through Grade 5. The purpose of Sunday School is to provide effective, age-appropriate biblical instruction resulting in the salvation and spiritual growth of each student. Children’s Church: Children’s Church (ages 2-5) takes place during the second morning worship service (11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m.). Children’s Church instruction reinforces the lessons taught in Sunday School through review of the Bible story, learning activities, Scripture memory, and music. The ultimate purpose is the salvation and spiritual growth of each student. Kids Time Celebration: Children in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade are dismissed to classes during the second Worship Service. Students attend the beginning of the Worship Service with their parents and are dismissed prior to the sermon. The purpose of Kid’s Time Celebration is to learn one memory verse each week through age-appropriate Bible lessons, guided discussion, learning activities, Scripture memory activities, and music. The aim of this ministry is the salvation and spiritual growth of each student through the memorization of key Scripture verses which are foundational to understanding salvation, God, Christian growth, character building, and Bible doctrine. Explorer Girls Weekly Bible study and activities Wednesday evenings during the school year for children age 4 through Grade 5. Explorer Girls is a vital part of GBC’s goal of helping children grow spiritually. It is not a substitute for Sunday School, but rather an extension of the Bible teaching received on Sunday morning. Through weekly Bible study and skill-building activities, children learn to apply biblical values to everyday life situations.
